Meet the Author & Artist

S. Hauer is an author, artist and educator who creates children’s stories rooted in beauty, faith and wonder. With a background in fine art and theology, she believes that meaningful stories and handmade illustrations can help children encounter truth, hope and the presence of God.

Sarah writes and illustrates each book with the intention of creating something families will treasure and return to together. Her books include Mommy, Why Do Butterflies Fly? and her newest Christmas story, The Littlest Christmas Star.

When she is not writing, painting or teaching, Sarah enjoys discovering beauty in nature, traveling, visiting sacred art and most of all- the ordinary moments of family life.  Follow her creative work at @worksofshauer
